Perth, Australia: A Travel Diary and Guide

This Travel Tuesday series feature is a place that has been called the most isolated major city in the world: Perth.

Last week our Travel Tuesday feature was Fremantle, also affectionately known as Freo, and it’s hard to mention Fremantle without also talking about Perth. Perth is a major Australian city perfectly suited for relaxation. Just a short 30 minute train ride from Fremantle, it was a must half day visit for us. Perth is complete with beaches, an impressive bar and art scene, and plenty of things to do.

Kings Park and Botanic Garden - This is our number one must-do and is the best viewpoint of Perth! Stroll through the beautiful gardens and take in the beautiful view overlooking the entire city.
Elizabeth Quay - A perfect spot to wander around the oceanside after dinner, just outside of Perth’s central business district. While we were visiting parts had been transformed into music venues and seemed to be the popular spot. The Elizabeth Quay Pedestrian Bridge is so beautifully designed and it made for a perfect foreground for beautiful sunset photos.

Also Go See: London Court, Swan River, The Bell Tower, Art Gallery of Western Australia, Beaches, Wine tasting in Margaret River
