One of my goals this year is to get back in good physical shape and I've been doing a mix of classes from boot camp, TRX, to spinning. The weather in NYC has been amazing lately and I was able to finally take my workout outside. For all the benefits I love about exercising, sometimes you just need a good sweat session!

Like all the things in my life and on the blog from Fashion to Travel - it has to fit the occasion. I am always on the lookout for great workout gear especially for an outdoor workout. The Lululemon Pace Breaker Shorts is perfect for exercising outdoors in these unlined shorts. It's with a classic fit and lots of storage space like the side zipper hidden pocket! The top I'm wearing the lululemon Metal Vent Tech Shirt Short Sleeve - it has an anti-stink technology make this shirt training-session ready. There's also hidden messages on the front and back of the shirt to give you that boost of energy and motivation reminder why you work hard. I picked these colors because it's neutral and love the texture details on the pieces. It's easy to match with everything else I have and I can wear them casually as well.

Time is valuable so i always try to push myself and be 100% with the time I have to workout. One of my favorite High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workout is combining running and bodyweight exercises. I'll do rounds of light jogging and high intensity sprint at central park then find a good spot around the park like a grass area or bench to do squats, squat jumps, mountain climbers, pushups, tricep dips, and more. It's all about keeping your body guessing, pushing through and getting a good sweat session on!

Sample outdoor HIIT workout:
2 Minute Light Jog
30 secs - 1 Minute Sprint
2x 10 reps of bodyweight exercises (upper: pushups, tricep dips. lower: squats, squat jumps, lunges, high knees, skaters)

Repeat as many times as you like or can survive!
