“What do you use for your hair?” “How do you style your hair?” I get asked about my hair pretty often on social media so I decided to talk about what I use and how I style it. Believe it or not, back in my high school days I’ve had a fair amount of experimenting with my hair (braids, blow out, faux-hawk, Mohawk!). What I’ve learned from over the years is that just like men’s style in suits and dress shoes, it’s best to go with the classics. The classic hairstyles are timeless, sharp, and goes with everything I wear.
Just like the right shoes or accessories to go with your outfit, so does your hairstyle. Styling products from Old Spice lets you do your ‘do that with ease. Here are two ways I style my hair with Old Spice Pomade and Putty.
Pomade - Use this styling product with a comb for a clean cut look. I like this when I’m wearing tailored menswear pieces like a suit or a sharp casual weekend look. Old Spice Pomade is also something I’ve discovered to be the best and easiest product to use for my hair. It’s easy to style (not extra thick, sticky like paste) and it’ll wash off with water. Think James Bond in a suit or preppy style.
Putty - Use it with hands for a disheveled look. I like this when I’m going for a casual hangout or rock star type of look paired with leather jackets. This is definitely more carefree to give your hair some shape and hold so it’s not falling all over your face.
Let me know what you think of the two looks!
