Windowpane Blazer - Winter Style

Winter is coming and the temperature is slowly dropping. It's that time of the year I swap out my Fall suiting for heavier and warmer materials. I am a big fan of patterns and texture -  the subtle difference changes the whole outfit. The windowpane plaid pattern is a classic in menswear and it's a great style to wear in Winter. I got this blazer from Hart Schaffner Marx recently and was doing some touristy sightseeing around NYC. I really like the light grey and bold blue lines on this windowpane pattern. It's quite different from the usual grey/navy styles out on the market. I paired it with different blues to match - a light blue dress shirt and a navy blue tie. It is a strong and bold pattern so keeping the other pieces plain and sharp is the way to go. We went on a fun tour around the city starting from Wall Street, then WTC, and ending up around DUMBO in Brooklyn.
