“Tourists don’t know where they’ve been, travelers don’t know where they’re going.”
Seersucker Shirt – Haspel | Shorts – J.Crew | Boat Shoes – Cole Haan | Watch – Daniel Wellington | Sunglasses – RayBan
Did you know that Reunion island is part of France? That’s what inspired this island summer style outfit for the day. Reunion island was hot with plenty of sun so I went for a stylish seersucker striped shirt that will keep me cool (at least try to). The seersucker shirt is lighter and breathes much better than most fabric for this type of humid hot temperature. The top and bottom color combination is inspired by the flag of France. Finished off the walk with a comfy pair of Cole Haan boat shoes (with Nike Air) in a neutral grey.
St Gilles les Bains – Our Cunard Queen Elizabeth cruise ship shuttle dropped us off in this part of Reunion – a nice area to relax on a beach and wander around some shops.
Bassin Cormoran Waterfall – We took a short cab ride to a nearby waterfall. From there we went on foot hiking through this park – walking on ledges (and not falling to our deaths!), holding onto tree branches and going under caves in search of this waterfall. It was such a memorable and spontaneous adventure to see the beautiful forest view and to cool off in the natural waterfall.
