Happy New Year!!! 2015 was such an amazing year for Levitate Style and we are even more excited than ever for 2016 (BIG Announcement on Instagram!). It's been a great holiday season taking a quick break from the blog and celebrating Christmas & NYE with friends and family. NYC has been unexpectedly warm this winter season and still no snow to show for. I really haven't had to break out my coats as often and relying on more layering looks.

Here's a great layering look that's season ready and office appropriate. This outfit works well with the colors navy and maroon in the plaid blazer, pairing it with pieces that match the colors. I'm loving these dark rich colors for the season, subtle ways to inject some pattern and style even in the colder months. Start off with a shirt & tie combo, then a cardigan, and finally the plaid blazer to pull it off. Check out the post and there's also a dressed down version of this look with v neck sweater and new balance sneakers.

Let me know what you think of the look in the comments!

  1. I'm impressed with the first look! I enjoy rocking a cardigan as a vest like you did. Pairing it with a tie from Todd Snyder is first class. By the way, the photography's getting better and better! Cheers to 2016 and all of the great things to come.

  2. Really love the first look-especially the mixture of multiple patterns in a cohesive way and how the boots help bring out some underlying tones in your blazer. Nicely done!
